Feamma joined FCS in September 2018 as a domestic violence case manager for the Baltimore County and City locations. Feamma provide crisis services, education, service coordination, court accompaniment, and follow-up to victims of domestic violence in an effort to assist victims increase their safety as well as assist them to utilize appropriate resources within their community to meet their needs. Feamma obtained my Bachelors in Community Health from Towson University in 2016. Shortly after, she worked for Kennedy Krieger Institute providing case management and advocacy services to struggling Hispanic families in East Baltimore who had an eligible child in the Early Head Start program. During my 2 years there, Feamma learned of and accessed many resources to benefit the families she worked with. Feamma found that often times, children’s mothers would disclose to her abusive relationships they were going through and their safety became a top priority to her. Feamma worked closely with city resources to make sure they received victim services, and also made it a point to educate herself on the topic to be able to better serve those families. The one thing that Feamma enjoys most about working at FCS is that she am able to service clients in many different settings in the community. One day Feamma may be seeing a client in court, the next day at DSS, or even at their home. Feamma is a big believer that rendering services where a client needs fosters that relationship even more and empowers a client because they know they have someone in their corner to support them and advocate for them wherever they go.
