Sarah Harvey
Case Manager
Sarah Harvey joined the FCS team in August 2018 as a domestic violence case manager. Sarah is a court advocate and attends court to connect with victims of domestic violence who have filed peace or protective orders. Sarah works with clients to help with move towards stability with safety planning, court accompaniment, legal advocacy, referrals for counseling, connecting the client to emergency temporary shelter, referrals to community resources, hosting support groups and offering safe space to process the trauma. Sarah also runs a group in the Carroll County Detention Center for women impacted by domestic violence and offers two presentations a month at Mountain Manor-- Shoemaker on Domestic Violence 101 to educate those who are staying at the facility. Sarah has an A.S. in Paralegal Studies and a B.S in criminal justice with a concentration in Human Services. Prior to joining FCS, Sarah worked working in a transitional housing shelter for victims of IPV, as well as working at a day program for people with a major mental health diagnosis. In both of those positions she spent time working with people to build their self-sufficiency skills as well as providing them with a support system. Sarah enjoys helping people see their worth and empowering victims.
