With your help and with careful stewardship of our finances, we bring a sense of hope and direction to individuals and families in a variety of programs.
In FY2011:
- 715 children and adults received treatment for physical or sexual abuse
- 26 drug-affected or alcohol-affected infants and young children were placed in stable, loving homes
- 171 at-risk adolescents and their families received counseling, mentoring and academic enrichment
- 2,729 victims of domestic violence and their children received counseling and emergency shelter
- 208 abusers were taught how to have healthier relationships with their partners, children, and others through their participation in psychoeducational groups and individual sessions.
- 299 low-income seniors received stipends or wages and contributed to their communities by working with children or training for employment
- 1088 families and individuals received counseling
- 260 young and first-time parents improved their parenting and life skills or prepared for their GED and career
- 264 seniors and disabled adults enjoyed companionship and stimulation in adult day care
- 213 frail elders were able to maintain their independence and live at home with help from our elder services staff
- 143 elementary children and family members received counseling to help them with school-related problems
- 215 individuals received case management services to prevent homelessness
